Terms of Services


Payment Policy

  • We require payment in full payment on the day of cleaning upon completion of the appointment unless the client is paying on account or has pre-arranged agreement with our office. We accepted cheque, Cash, Visa, MasterCard and PayPal.

  • There is a $45 fee for any N.S.F cheque returned by customer’s bank

  • Hazel Clean Maids reserves the right to discontinue services for lack of payment. A late payment fee and administration fee will apply on overdue accounts. The Customer will pay interest on any late payment at the annual interest rate of 26.28% per annum.

Booking, (Re) scheduling and Cancelling

  • Appointments are booked in accordance with the availability of Hazel Clean Maids staff and customers. See the “Contact Us” page for our availability.

  • We will try our best to be there at the scheduled time but at times extenuating circumstances may cause arrival time at a different time during the day and Hazel Clean Maids will call notify the customer of such event. In extenuating circumstances where the cleaner is unable to make the appointment on the cleaning day, Hazel Clean Maids will immediately reschedule the cleaning appointment.

  • If customer’s scheduled cleaning coincides with a holiday, we will contact the customer to reschedule another time slot.

  • If customer needs to reschedule or skip (cancel) a cleaning appointment, we require that the customer provider Hazel Clean Maids with at least 48 hours’ notice prior to the scheduled cleaning appointment. Insufficient or lack of cancellation notice may result in a $50 cancellation fee.

Access to your home/office

  • We ask that customers make their home/office accessible to the Hazel Clean Maids on their scheduled cleaning appointment. If Hazel Clean Maids are unable to gain access to customer’s home on the scheduled cleaning day, customer may be charged a lockout fee of $40.

  • We also ask that customers minimize the waiting time for our cleaners at the start and at the end of the cleaning appointment as we would rather spend the time cleaning your home. If Hazel Clean Maids have to wait for customer to arrive at beginning or end of the cleaning (in the event customers are opening and locking the door) our hourly rate applies rounded to the nearest 15 minutes.

Customer Needs Extra Work

  • Hazel Clean Maids are instructed to follow the work instructions agreed to prior to the cleaning appointment.

  • To accommodate special request, we ask that the customers call or email us at least 48 hours before the scheduled appointment for additional cleaning needs.

Breakables, Delicates, Confidential Information and Valuables

  • We understand that you have valuables or things with sentimental values that you would not want to replace. Though all of our employees are fully insured and bonded, we however ask that you let us know if you have special items in your house of high monetary or sentimental value. When reporting the special items, please indicate if you whether or not you would like to have them cleaned and how you would like them cleaned.

  • Should you decide not to have your valuables cleaned, we ask that you protect them or put them in a safe place to prevent accidents. You should also put away all jewelry pieces left out as they could be sucked into the vacuum cleaner or accidentally dropped into the sink during cleaning.

  • Hazel Clean Maids ask that the customer put away fragile items and other valuables and recommend that customer personally clean such items as wedding glasses, china, gift items, etc.

  • Customer must overtly indicate the objects that should not be cleaned. By not explicitly or overtly stating such items, the customer has given Hazel Clean Maids staff permission to clean the objects and the objects are subject to the risk associated with cleaning.

Safety of Staff

The safety, health and wellbeing of our staff are very important.

  • Hazel Clean Maids will climb at most a 3-step ladder. Higher items will only be dusted with an extension duster.

  • We do not move objects weighing over twenty pounds (20lbs).

  • We do not clean a home where there is contagious illness and we do not clean moulds and bed bugs.

  • Our employees are instructed not clean any items they deemed to be unsafe.

  • We ask that or customers advise us if there are any condition in their home that may be deemed unsafe.

Non-competition Agreement

  • Hazel Clean Maids are fully bonded and insured for your peace of mind. Employees are acting on behalf of Hazel Clean Maids and have signed a legally enforceable non-competition agreement.
